Rabbi Pesach Raymon Yeshiva is a Jewish day school serving the central New Jersey community. As a yeshiva, its role is to carry out the Torah's mandate to teach the practices of Judaism and a love for Eretz Yisroel to our students with love and sensitivity. In partnership with the home, the Yeshiva strives to develop an appreciation for and commitment to Judaism as a way of life, affecting both the way we think and the way we act. To enroll a student in Rabbi Pesach Raymon Yeshiva is to commit oneself to encouraging, fostering and actively participating in an educational process in which each student's parents and the school work together to instill and reinforce religious values and behavior to produce a fully integrated Torah personality.
All classes follow the pattern of individual instruction, so that each student grows relative to his or her level. The study of Midot (ethics and morality) introduces Jewish values to the children, reinforced by word and deed. Knowledge of Bible, Talmud, Jewish history, and Mitzvot stimulates a deep appreciation and love for the State of Israel and Klal Yisroel (the world-wide Jewish community). The study and discussion of the writings, literature, halacha and wisdom of our people creates an understanding in our students of Jewish identity, and underscores the meaning of Jewish survival. The mastery of conversational Hebrew and a mature understanding of Judaism prepare thefuture leaders of the Jewish people.
Rabbi Pesach Raymon Yeshiva provides an intensive and balanced scholastic curriculum for all students Pre-Nursery through Grade 8. The daily general studies curriculum follows the current New Jersey State guidelines and places primary emphasis on the teaching of basic skills and their extension into higher cognitive levels. The language arts, math, science, and computer programs are sequentially developed,
allowing students to progress from concrete concepts to more complex abstractions. The intent of social studies is to involve students in their community, country and surrounding nations, thereby increasing their awareness of the world around them and the challenges it presents. Art, music instruction and physical education are also included to familiarize students with cultural heritage and develop necessary psycho-motor skills. Field trips, assemblies and special programs are also scheduled to further enhance the total development of our students.
Rabbi Pesach Raymon Yeshiva was officially designated as a 2013 National Blue Ribbon School by the U.S. Secretary of Education. RPRY is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools. RPRY is a beneficiary of funds raised through the annual campaign of The Jewish Federation in the Heart of New Jersey.
